The mandibular Repositioning Nighttime Appliance (mRNA) is an oral device that provides combined maxilla-mandibular correction. The appliance is worn at night, which allows the body to reposition the mandible and gently redevelop the mid-face. Additionally, the mRNA helps to remodel the upper airway, while also shifting teeth into a more natural position. By bringing the lower jaw forward, tissues are lifted off the airway, improving breathing. Because the lower jaw is being held forward by the mRNA appliance, the upper jaw is stimulated to grow, which remodels the airway.
